My Online Degree Plan and the need for it!

Hey folks!!! how is everybody doing? Before going any further let me introduce myself. I am Jordan, by profession I am a web designer, and working in an IT company. Here is a little about my professional background. One of the most important parts of my job is to be in sync with the ever changing field of technology/multimedia. Well, quite frankly if I am not then it would be me who will be on the lacking side. It is not that I am not happy with my job but with the change in technology I need to update myself. I planned to update my professional profile as well, with an additional degree.

Hmmm so now when I have taken the first step of making my mind to pursue a degree, the second step is searching an authentic website which will provide me with the online degree in my field. I started my thought procedure and concluded with that I have two options wide open in front of me i.e. discussing with my friends and searching online. So, I made use of the first option and asked one of my friends, Tom, who has also done Bachelor of Arts in English from the some online university is getting a handsome pay package and a superior designation close to the top-level management. When Tom shared the name of the website with me, I realized that I have also visited the same website a day before while surfing.

But with the online degree I don’t have to attend the regular classes. With the online specialization it will really help me a lot in my field and can increase my future career prospects. I will get both theoretical and practical exposure and that too without any hassle. At University of Phoenix the online payment method is also very easy but all I need to do is to provide the university with the authentic information.

Well, I had the formal knowledge of the web designing and multimedia but this course will enhance my knowledge about designing. With the help of this course I will be developing new skills like- web scripting, audio/video media and animation, advanced HTML, flex, and advanced java. These are all new web designing concepts for me because I am not using them currently, so if I know them then it would be an added advantage for me. I hope that pursuing my degree from University of Phoenix will be a very hassle free experience. With the help of a professional degree in web designing and multimedia it will also help me in developing my communication skills.

It will be helping me in developing my sense of visualization and different ways of logical thinking. Though I have knowledge of choosing the right tools but with this particular course I will be doing this in a more efficient manner. Frankly, I was not able to comprehend the benefits and the constraints in the field of designing and multimedia but after doing this course I am sure I will be aware of it.

I was not aware of all the career opportunities which I am having after completing my degree. This has really cheered me up because in future if I want to change my job then I can also try my luck in following fields- print/electronic media, advertising agencies, animation companies, and freelancing. After completing my Master’s of web designing and multimedia I will be increasing my knowledge about graphics, scripting, and other important aspects of web designing. I don’t think that there is anything more that I could have asked for.
